Hello and welcome to my place. I’m stop 5 of the SU Stars Blog Hop for February. If you’ve popped over from Martha Lucia Gomez’s Blog I’m really glad you stopped by! If you’ve stumbled on to my blog outside of the hop you can start from the beginning by clicking here.
So its been a crazy February for me so far, so I haven’t been able to get too “crafty” lately. I had gotten a few of the sewing themed stamp sets and coordinating paper from the Occasions Mini to make a set of cards for a co-worker who was retiring. She always loves my cards and I thought she would appreciate the handmade gift.
She is the “seamstress” for several theatre groups so I thought this theme would be très magnifique! (She is also pretty fluent in French, hence that French reference!)
So without further adieu…(now I can’t help myself!)
Sometimes when I’m pressed for time and its late at night I get a little punchy and silly. This is definitely one of those times…but I think I came up with a clever idea…notice the use of the 1/2″ seam binding ribbon!! Yes! I am so smart sometimes (sorry, I do have to pat myself on the back)
Notice: no buttons were harmed in the making of these cards!
A close up you say…
The buttons are cut out of the paper Sweet Stitches Designer Series paper (Occasions Mini)
Stamps Sew Suite, Tote-ally Tess (sentiment); Card Stock Temping Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Very Vanilla; Sweet Stitches Designer Series Paper Accessories 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon (Very Vanilla), Word Window Punch, Dimensionals, Paper Snips; Ink Stazon Jet Black
So then I thought I had to do something with patterns…
Check out the inside:
I have boxed a few of each nicely in a greeting card box for my gift:
Stamps Pattern Pieces, Sew Suite, Because I Care (sentiment); Card Stock Temping Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, White Vellum; Sweet Stitches Designer Series Paper Accessories Photo Corners Punch, Dimensionals, Paper Snips; Aqua Painter; Ink Stazon Jet Black; Real Red
I hope you enjoyed my cards! I enjoyed making them!
