I've been asked why I like Halloween so much. I am an October baby, I just celebrated my birthday yesterday. I was 10 days too early! But with my birthday so close to Halloween it has always been special for me. I loved getting dressed up in costumes (still do) going trick or treating. My birthday and Halloween were always provided good memories for me. Thinking back gives me the warm fuzzies. I love to decorate my house (inside and out). So that's what I've been doing, I've been decorating for Halloween. If you look back on last year's posts you can see pictures of my front yard decorated as a cemetery. I do this every year, and every year I add to the decorations. This year I added a cloaked reaper and I am thinking of a fog machine. The nearby kids, little and not so little, come every year just to see my decorations.
Along with the Halloween decorating madness I am preparing for a craft fair I will be participating in on November 1st in Wayne. It is a fundraiser for the Lake Packanack Women's Club, click here for the website with more information. On top of that my boyfriend is training for the NYC ING Marathon and I volunteered to prepare a plan for myself and some of his family members to watch him run the marathon in several places. So we would go from specific mile markers at specific times to catch him running by. Let me tell you this is no easy task!! I have to coordinate his pace with the times of the subway stops and the total trip times and figure that we won't be getting on the first cars, since there will be so many people!
So needless to say, I have been busy! I do have two more Halloween projects in the works…so stay tuned.
Raissa,
Happy (belated) birthday!!! I hope it was a good one.
