Hi! Welcome to stop 3 of the first SU Stars Blog Hop for 2011! If you've hopped over from Denise Foor's Blog, I'm really glad you hopped on over! If you've stumbled on to my blog outside of the hop you can start from the beginning by clicking here. What a great way to find inspiration for handmade projects!
This month, I'm treating you to made some Valentine's Day themed projects!
I always tend to come up with plenty of ideas but most of the time if I don't jot them down right when I think of them, they fly out of my brain with wings! (can you picture that?! LOL) Then something will trigger a memory. I'll remember that I had an idea but then can't for the life of me remember what it was!! Arggh!! (You can only have some many things in your brain at once you know!) So I've started to jot down my ideas once they come to me. One of my customers taught me to carry a journal pad with me at all times! Thank you Mechelle!
So I saw a candy purse in one of those big box craft stores and thought, gee, I can make a template for that myself! Voila…here it is…
Oh, as you can see I decided a cute little mini Valentine's Day card should be enclosed in the purse. I used Pink Pirouette card stock and the Love Impressions Rub ons. (no stamping at all!)
This purse is made from one piece of 10" x 10" Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper! Its just a matter of some clever cuts and folds! I used the Pretty In Pretty Grosgrain Ribbon for the handle.
You just need the paper, some ribbon, a pencil, your paper snips and a bone folder (no glue)!
I decorated the purse with the Quick Accents that come with the Ice Cream Parlor DSP (Sale-A-Bration Catalog) and the Love Impressions Rub Ons.
Here is the purse opened…(you do not see pencil lines…they're just a figment of your imagination)
Here's a close up of the mini card (its 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 to fit in the purse!) It features the Love Impressions Rub Ons (Occassions Mini Catalog)
I have one last project to show you – with a lot of glimmer! I call it the blinged basket! What's cool about this is the paper is actually covered in the red glitter and it doesn't brush off!! Awesome! Just be sure to use Crystal Effects when you're gluing it to something!
For this project I used the Red Glimmer Paper (Occasions MIni), Whisper White Card Stock, Baskets & Blooms Bigz die, the Love Impressions Rub Ons (Occasions Mini), Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon and the Small tag punch.
I'll be posting more details on these projects after the hop has concluded, so stop back again!

Cute (& creative) candy bag. I like the way it opens. The bling bag really caught my eye! What girl doesn’t like a little bling?!?!?
