Hello and welcome! Today I'm taking part of the SU Stars Blog Hop for March. If you've popped over from Nancy Keithley’s blog I'm really glad you stopped by! If you've stumbled on to my blog outside of the hop you can start from the beginning by clicking here.
I often get asked what the "Stars" refers to in our group name. No, we're not conceited! It is an acronmyn for Scrapping, Teaching And Rubber Stamping!
I decided to do cards with a Spring theme for this month's hop. I am showcasing the Eastern Blooms stamp set. Since work has been keeping me crazy busy I got my inspiration for these cards from either the current catalog or our Stampin' Success demonstrator magazine.
I got the idea for this card from a box in the current catalog…guess what page?
This is a closeup of the flowers, I curled the edges a teeny bit so they would pop off the card. I used the marker to color the edges of the stamp to give it a bit more dimension.
Supplies:
Eastern Blooms stamp set, sentiment from Upsy Daisy stamp set, Square Lattice Embossing folder, Perfect Plum ink & Stampin' Write Marker, Baja Blue card stock & ink, Whisper White card stock, Old Olive 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Stampin' Sponges, Dimensionals, Decorative Label Punch (Occasions Mini).
The inspiration for this next card was from our March Stampin' Success Magazine. It showcases the faux mother-of-pearl papercrafting technique. I made it with the supplies I had on hand. (The original uses the Easter Blossoms stamp set in the Occasions Mini.)
Supplies
Eastern Blooms stamp set, sentiment from Thank You Kindly stamp set, Framed Tulips Embossing folder, Baja Blue card stock & ink, Rose Red card stock, ink & Stampin' Write Marker, Whisper White card stock, Basic Black card stock & Stampin' Write Marker, Basic Pearls, Stampin' Sponges, Dimensionals, Modern Label Punch, Frost White & Platinum Shimmer Paint.
Leave me a comment with the page number from the catalog that I got the inspiration for the first card and I'll hold a drawing on Tuesday, March 23rd for a package of Heart Treat cups!
I hope you enjoyed my Spring-y cards!

Your flowers on the first card are gorgeous! As is the color combo. I love the bag in the IBC that I think was your inspiration. The pearls look so pretty on the second card. The new Tulip EF is awesome!
