Heartfelt Pocket Surprise Tutorial

Love You Much and A Happy Heart Stamp sets
Heart to Heart, Scallop Circle Punches
Riding Hood Red card stock and ink
Pink Pirouette card stock and ink

Download heart template here.

1. Print out template at 100%
2. With pencil, trace heart template onto vellum paper.
Be sure to indicate the fold lines with dashed lines

 

3. Cut out hearts on solid lines with your paper snips.
4. Using fold line indicators (dashed lines), score with bone folder and fold.
5. Erase pencil marks.

You can stamp your images now or wait.
In this tutorial, I waited to see where all the fold lines were so I knew where to stamp without the image being folded.

6. fold two of the hearts into themselves.

This is what it will look like all folded.

I stamped images being aware of which heart will be adhered to the side of the card.

(The two hearts that are not folded in half will be adhered to the sides.)

See how I've adhered the two sides that were not folded.

Then I punched a whole bunch of hearts using the heart to heart punch and added them for confetti to the inside.

Here you can see where I've adhered the sides to the card itself.

I used the three heart stamp in the Love You Much stamp set and stamped it all around using the Riding Hood Red creating a background. I stamped some hearts onto Whisper White. I punched out one set of hearts with the heart to heart punch and adhered these on top of some of the hearts on the base card with dimensionals.

I cut a piece of Riding Hood Red and a smaller piece of Candy Cane designer series paper, layered these onto my base Pink Pirouette card.

I stamped the hugs & kisses stamp in Riding Hood Red on Whisper White card stock. I stamped it again on Pink Pirouette.

I punched the hugs & kisses image out with the scallop circle punch. Then I cut out the heart in the middle of the other image that I stamped on the Pink Pirouette. I layered this onto the Whisper White version.

I applied mono adhesive to the ribbon and adhered it to the card, adhering the scallop circle with dimensionals.
