Hello stampers! Wow! I can’t believe its been so long. I’m saddened to say that after almost two years with cancer, my senior dog, Missy passed last month. But she didn’t pass from the cancer, or her seizures for that matter, she went into renal failure. She fought through and overcame so much in the last few years from a chronic Lyme disease, a status epilepticus seizure, osteosarcoma in her front leg, a vestibular stroke, and finally her poor kidneys could no longer keep up the fight to clean her body. The last few months she became lame in the leg with the cancer, and needed help getting up. That last month she needed help walking, and even though we expected accidents, she never once dirtied her bed. She lived a good life, she was 14 years old. She lived 4 years longer than her biological brother, Dante. Now the two dogs in my logo are no longer with us. đ
Of course it has been a time of adjustment me and my family. We miss her dearly. We are now dealing with Ranger not quite understanding where she went and being upset with her absence. We have to be careful not to say her name, because Ranger’s ears perk up and he runs to the basement door looking for her. I think on some level he does understand that she’s passed on. Poor guy. Somehow I think he needs to be in my logo.
Needless to say I’ve had more time to craft and the crafting helps me cope.
Here’s what I’ve been doing… infatuated with butterflies lately…
I hope you like them!
