Well hello there! Thank you to those who I see still come to visit me! Here’s to a bright New Year! A year of new beginnings, friendships and resolutions! I have the usual resolutions: lose weight get more organized and of course craft more. But this year I added to blog more and spend more time with family, including Missy and my human friends.
So I’ll start where I left off in my last post. I’m glad to have 2014 behind me. After you read this I hope you will understand why I had a very hard time coming back to blog.
2014 did not end as any of us had hoped. My dog Dante (happy dog on right in my blog banner) took his last breath at home in my arms just 12 days after the surgery that we thought would help save his life, on November 18th, around 8:20 am. He passed naturally, peacefully and very quickly. I was of course shocked and so very, very sad to lose my best buddy. I received many sympathy comments on Facebook, email messages and cards. Thank you all so much! Two of the cards I received in the mail were handmade from my friends in our Stampin’ Up! group: Barbara D. and Lisa E. They’re just so talented that I thought I would share the lovely cards with you and I hope they don’t mind!!
From Barbara D.:
How creative to use a heart and Small Oval punch for the paw print, right?!! Awesome-sauce!! (my sister Gina has got me saying this now)
And from Lisa E.:
On the inside of Lisa’s card is a wonderful paw print punch:
December 1st I was in a car accident. I was driving home from work and someone drove straight out of a driveway in front of me. It happened so fast that even though I swerved to miss them, they hit my car pushing it into oncoming traffic. Thankfully I am okay. I got my car back on New Years Eve of all days!
Between all of this Miss-Miss had a seizure and we ended up in the 24-hour Animal hospital again. She stayed there for 3 days being observed and having tests run. I think with everything going on with all of us emotionally it just put her over the edge. I know for me it was an emotional roller coaster so I can’t imagine how she felt losing her big brother!!
Sooo…My Christmas cards were made and mailed very late. But here is the card that I made and sent out. And believe it or not, I just received a few of them back undeliverable on Thursday! Pretty weird that it takes them so long to come back!! Some of the cards had stars that I embossed and some I debossed, weird word debossed, huh? I guess de-embossed doesn’t work??
Here is the inside (minus the sentiment)
Supplies for Christmas card are listed below. Ideas for next year maybe?
Note that these items are still available while supplies last!! Please don’t forget to contact me if you are interested in purchasing!
I’ll be back shortly posting about my trip to Leadership in Orlando, Florida.
Welcome back! Barbara’s card is so sweet. Hoping 2015 is a good one.
