Celebrate '08!
Well it took me a couple of days to get home from convention! I had a connecting flight that I missed because of the weather, so I was held over in Houston until Monday morning without a laptop! I know, how horrible! So now what I have to post is old news! That will teach me, next time I bring the laptop!
So here goes…
I''ll start with the biggest news first…
Stampin' Up! has announced a partnership with Sizzix. We now have our own version of the Big Shot complete with Stampin' Up! logo. This is HUGE!! It will be available to our customers in the Holiday 2008 Mini Catalog along with exclusive Stampin' Up! dies which coordinate with our stamp sets, Home Décor products and accessories. Whoo Hoo! I'm so excited! Some of the benefits of being a demonstrator and attending convention is that you get the advance information and you are able to take advantage of specials like pre-ordering the Big Shot at a discount! We can also purchase special convention only themed merchandise! Stampin' Up! also announced specials for anyone who decides to join our team!
On the last day of convention our buddies in Brown showed up on stage with a special delivery for everyone! They drove a UPS truck complete with flames on the front onto the stage!! Fireworks were going off and confetti was falling from the ceiling. So Brown ran around to about 6,000 people in attendance with free stamp sets! They gave us all the new Ronald McDonald house stamp set "Say It with Scallops" for all those attending (which this year included guests). So not only did they make all of us very happy, $2.00 of the sales of these sets go to the Ronald McDonald house! Whoo hoo!!
Check out the hoopla:
Here's some trivia for you:
Did you know that UPS makes about 7,000 deliveries for SU each day?!
Shelli Gardner, the Co-Founder and CEO of Stampin' Up! has started her own blog, check it out here. She also announced she will be having her own signature line of Stampin' Up! products, which will be called So Shelli! How cool is that?!
Here are some of my pictures from convention…click on the picture to view full size.
Here is gracious Shelli with Dale Filmore, the COO of SU, presenting Ronald McDonald (and a RMDH representative) a check for $126,788.00!! Way to go SU!
While I was there I got to tour the main offices and see where the orders are picked and packed. Check out the 20th anniversary logo:
I have so much more to share with all of you, but it needs to be prepared! There are so many upcoming specials to take advantage of! Now is the perfect time to purchase products and become a demonstrator!
Stay tuned! I'll be uploading all the info shortly.
