Wow! I cannot believe Thanksgiving is here! I had wanted to post these for you sooner…my full time job has been keeping me so very busy!
Okay, so I cannot take the credit for coming up with the idea completely on my own for this first one. I sort cased the hat idea from Lynn Pratt's three pumpkin snowman but used it for a Pilmgrim's hat instead. Plus I added a mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cup on the inside! Also my version doesn't exactly follow the same instructions as hers.
Stampin Supplies
1-1/4" and 1-3/4" Circle Punches; 1-1/4" Square Punch, Basic Black Card stock (5-1/2 x 8-1/2" sheet or smaller) 4-1/4" long x 1/4" wide strip of Whisper White Card stock, 4" x 2" strip of Basic Black Card Stock, scored at 3/8" in on both long sides. A scrap of Daffodil Delight Card Stock. 2-Way Glue (oh, and don't for get the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup!)
On the 4 x 2" Basic Black Strip cut the scored edges into little tabs (this makes the card stock more flexible to form into a circle.) Punch one 1-1/4" circle and one 1-3/4' circle out of the Basic Black Card Stock.
Apply the 2-Way glue to the tabs and glue onto the 1-1/4" circle insert your mini Reese's cup and adhere card stock following the edge of the circle. Put glue on the tabs on the other end and adhere to the larger circle, making sure to keep it circular and centered in the punch. I put a small pad on top to keep it secured. Let sit to dry.
Adhere the strip of white around the hat. Using the 1-1/4" Square Punch punch a small square of Daffodil Delight. (Flip the punch over and use corner of paper and corner of punch to make a small square.) Do the same with a scrap of Basic Black. Adhere small Basic Black square to larger Daffodil Delight square and then adhere to white strip. You're done. Easy peasy!
Don't forget now thru November 30th, My Digital Studio is 50% off!
I made this home décor piece using the Autumn Spice Designer Kit and the Day of Graditude stamp all within My Digital Studio! I printed it out on 8-1/2 x 11" Whisper White card stock added to a frame I had and voila!
Here is the image exported from MDS.
Any of the MDS images can be downloaded to use in Photoshop and in several other programs. Ask me!
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends! Enjoy!
